About Vishwakarma Government Engineering College
Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), established in 1994, is one of Gujarat's leading government engineering colleges, running 14 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programmes affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. The campus sits at Chandkheda on the Sabarmati–Koba highway, next to the GTU headquarters.
Because VGEC and GTU share the same neighbourhood, Chandkheda has developed a steady student-rental market, while students who prefer the S.G. Highway side of the city stay in Jagatpur, Gota and Sola and commute in on the metro.
