About Gujarat Arts and Science College
Gujarat Arts and Science College — better known as Gujarat College — traces its origins to 1860 and was re-established in its present form in 1879, making it one of the oldest colleges in India. The government college runs arts and science programmes affiliated to Gujarat University from its heritage Victorian campus at Ellisbridge.
